  • Don’t forget to set your clocks forward 1 hour Saturday night, March 7th or you’ll be late for church on March 8th.
  • No 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. service on March 15th.  Instead there will be a Celtic service at 5:30 p.m. with an Irish dinner to follow.
  • One of our parishioners, lost their home to a fire on Sunday afternoon.  The cause of the fire is thought to have been electrical.  Everything was lost except the clothes on their backs and their car.  Currently they are staying at their father’s home.  We are very concerned their livelihood will be affected unless their office equipment can promptly be replaced: a computer, copier, and fax machine.  Since they are temporarily living in their father’s house, they do not need household items at this time.  However, they are in need of clothing, food, and all the items we use on a daily basis, in addition to office supplies.  In response to this tragedy, Westover is collecting money and gift cards on their behalf.  Gift cards can be purchased at Target, Talbot’s, Kohl’s, Martin’s, Food Lion, Best Buy, Staples, or Office Max to help them replace essential items.  Or, a check may be made out to Westover Episcopal Church with the notation “Benevolence Fund” written on the memo line.  Please do not use their names on the check.  The hope is that once they are settled, then the Benevolence Fund will remain in an account that can be used in future years to assist people with emergency situations.
