Giving and Westover.

You are the Church. Whether in person, on Zoom, helping feeding programs through Walter Paige, Charles City Schools, or Meals on Wheels, or through our online services, we are connected by our love of God and our many happy times together in worship, service, and fellowship.

Your gifts, both financial and in volunteerism, have made an enormous impact on how Westover has been able to support our community. Over the past year, those gifts have helped:

Tiger Packs for Charles City Schools

With our support we help the Charles City Schools provide children with meals for evenings and weekends. The Tiger Pack Program begins in October and continues through the school year.

Walter Paige’s Missionary Kitchen

Using our facility and the gifts of the church, Walter has been able to provide a generous meal to over 300 people once a month.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

2021 giving set a new record of giving with more than $11,000 raised. That money helped us provide a complete Thanksgiving dinner to over 140 families (more than 1,500 people).

Live Streaming Services

Although nothing replaces church, our live streaming services offer access to  God’s blessing and message for those who are homebound or unable to attend services in person.  Upgrades to our streaming services have enabled us to introduce a far wider audience to many of the wonderful activities taking place in Charles City and in our Westover community.

Piano

With services limited to the outdoors during COVID, your gifts enabled Westover to purchase an excellent portable piano that allowed Ed Schutt, our organist, to provide us with real music, not a recording or simply no music.

Your Annual Gift commitment enables our Vestry to plan for worship, outreach, music, and offer the many initiatives for the benefit of our community. This year we are specifically asking that you consider making a recurring gift.
